Dowling brings more than 30 years of private and public sector insurance leadership experience to the Board
HARRISBURG, Pa. (December 2, 2021) – Keystone Agency Partners (“KAP”) a fast-growing independent insurance agency partnership platform, today announced the appointment of seasoned insurance industry leader Anne Melissa Dowling to the Company’s Board of Directors. She is the second independent director appointed to KAP’s Board, joining Robert A. Rusbuldt.
Ms. Dowling’s appointment brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience to the Board of Directors. Previously, she served as the Director of the Illinois Department of Insurance, following her post as Deputy Commissioner and Acting Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Insurance. In addition to her public sector experience, Ms. Dowling enjoyed a successful career in domestic and international insurance investment and operating divisions, holding executive roles with Massachusetts Mutual (MMG), Aetna, and Travelers. At MMG, she grew the Institutional Insurance Division from startup to $13 billion in assets under management. Prior to that, she was Chief Investment Officer at Connecticut Mutual.

In addition to her insurance industry leadership roles, Ms. Dowling has significant governance experience. Among her current, related activities is service on the Board of Directors of Axis Capital (AXS) on the Audit, Risk, Nominating-Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility and Finance Committees. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Prosperity Group Holdings, LLC on the Audit, Investment, Governance (Chair) and Compensation Committees and HealthOme. She is an Advisor to Carpe Data, an AI based predictive analytics company for insurers and a Senior Advisor to Bain Capital Insurance. She has also served on several non-profit and educational boards of trustees and currently works as a Guide at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for student groups. Ms. Dowling is a Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) and a graduate of Amherst College (B.A.) and Columbia University School of Business (M.B.A.).
